jpop

Hello everyone! As Eastwave, we are here with our new interview. This time we are talking to you from Japan. Our guest is SUPER FANTASY.

SUPER FANTASY debuted in 2017. The group, whose songs are about fairy tales, presents a different style by telling these tales in 3 different ways. While the sub-group THE HEROES tells the good side of the fairy tale, THE VILLIANS interpret the fairy tale to you from the bad side. As SUPER FANTASY, it brings the tale to a happy ending. We wish you good fun while reading our interview with SUPER FANTASY, which continues its journey with Haku, Ruka, Ryoga, Tsubasa, Yuto and Yamato.

1. Hello! First of all, thank you very much for accepting our interview offer! Could you please introduce yourself to Eastwave followers?

HAKU: SUPER FANTASY is a completely NEW entertainment project, which you can jump into the world of fairy tale and go to pick up the happy ending.

2. SUPER FANTASY consists of 2 subgroups, THE VILLAINS and THE HEROES. What is the story behind these subgroups? How is it determined whether members will be in THE VILLAINS or THE HEROES?

RUKA: We express one story with a composition of three songs. THE VILLAINS expresses the dark side of the story. THE HEROES express bright areas side of the story. And at the end, all of SUPER FANTASY will express the happy ending of the story. Which group a person belongs to is determined by the potential that the person has! ”

3. All the songs on your latest EP, Rapunzel, are beautiful, and each one tells the story of Rapunzel in different ways. Can you tell us about the stories behind the songs?

YUTO: In fact, if you listen closely to the three songs, you’ll find the same melody hidden inside. That is actually Rapunzel’s hidden magical song. Please look for it.

4. How are the members in terms of songwriting or composing? Do you have any plans for creating an album where everything is prepared by you in the future?

HAKU: The sound producer carefully creates the worldview for SUPER FANTASY’s lyrics and compositions! The members may also choreograph the choreography. My dream is to one day create an original fairy tale!

5. As a group, you often take the stage for concerts and to celebrate the members’ birthdays, meeting your fans. How do you prepare for your performances? Do members have a specific routine before going on stage?

TSUBASA: We don’t always have a singing or dancing teacher with us, so we have to check the structure in detail and point out the performance ourselves, dancing until we’re satisfied.

As for the routine, just before the performance, all members form a circle to get fired up and say “We are SUPER FANTASY.”

6. Do you have any plans to perform concerts in other countries in the future? If so, which countries would you like to visit?

RYOGA: I don’t have any plans to perform outside of Japan, but I would like to go to America! I’ve been to America once, and when I saw live performances on the streets and in the city, I thought it was a country full of entertainment, and I wanted to perform in America.

7. Since your debut, you’ve stuck with a fairy tale theme. Your album covers, photo shoots, everything is very fairy-tale-like. If you had to be part of a fairy tale, which one would you choose? And why that particular fairy tale?

YUTO: It’s a mermaid princess. I want to become a resident of the ocean world and swim freely in the ocean singing songs.

YAMATO: I want to dive into the story of Little Red Riding Hood. It is said to be world famous, but it is a picture book story that I read many times when I was young, so I want to express that world view.

8. We’ve left behind the year 2023, and a new year means new hopes. Could you share your biggest wish for 2024 with us?

RYOGA: There were many difficulties in 2023, but we overcame them through effort and experience. In 2024, I will continue to work hard and do my best to take advantage of the experience I have gained so far and stand on a bigger stage!

YAMATO: 2023 was an important year for me as I started my music activities and officially became a member of SUPER FANTASY after being a trainee and a support member.

In 2024, I would like to use the things I have accumulated so far to perform a lot of live shows so that even more people can get to know SUPER FANTASY, which I love.

9. Japan is famous in Turkey for its anime, music, cuisine, and many other things. Therefore, could you recommend an anime, song, and a must-try dish to our readers?

YUTO: Yu Yu Hakusho” is becoming popular again after being made into a live-action movie on Netflix! The song is “Backlight” by Vaundy. This song was provided by ado and is a self-cover of the song sung by Uta in the movie One Piece “Film Red”. The recommended dish you should try is “Akashiyaki”! I think “Takoyaki” is famous, so I would like you to try the fusion of Japanese dashi culture and takoyaki.

RUKA: My recommended anime is Dragon Ball! As many of you may know, you can’t take your eyes off the exciting battles and exciting developments.

As for the song, I like Gen Hoshino’s “Pop Virus”!

The meal I want you to eat is omelet rice! A super delicious meal that combines Western and Japanese culture!

10. Finally, do you have a message for J-Pop fans in Turkey?

HAKU: SUPER FANTASY sings about the world of fairy tales that everyone knows in their songs!

We are confident that we can beat any group, so please listen to our songs!

We look forward to the day when we can perform live in Turkey and will continue to deliver the best music!
