1. Hello! Thank you for accepting our interview offer! Could you introduce yourself for those who are new to you?
NANO: Hello! My name is NANO, the leader of IS:SUE! I’m 23 years old, from Niigata, Japan.
I spend every day with my positive energy in full swing!
I love to eat, so I eat a lot every day ♫

I’m the tallest member but I have the shortest hair! LOL
My favorite things to do are dancing and eating!

2. Before IS:SUE, you all participated in Produce 101. What made you decide to participate in PRODUCE 101?
NANO: I found out about it when I saw it streamed through a friend’s post on social media and applied immediately! [Laughs]
YUUKI: I had always wanted to work in something related to dance since I was a child, but it was after watching an audition program that I began to have the dream of being an artist.
When I was a sophomore in college, I happened to find an application for PRODUCE 101 JAPAN on SNS, and I applied with the sole intention of making my dream come true through the audition program that gave me my dream!
I remember that I took on the challenge with the determination that this was my last chance.
RINO: There weren’t many auditions this big, and I was willing to put everything I had into this audition.
3. And now you are about to celebrate your 1st year as IS:SUE. How has this 1 year been for you? In which areas do you think you have developed yourself and what are your goals going forward?
NANO: It was a very intense year and every day was sparkling.
Everything is new and every one of them is a happy time for me.
I feel that throughout this year, my ability to be resourceful has increased so much!
I would like to continue to be grateful every day and face each and every thing with all my might!
YUUKI: Everything I see every day is new, and it has been a truly dizzying year.
At the same time, I think I had many opportunities to learn how my work is supported by many people. I am still new to the field, and I feel like I am moving forward little by little toward the goal in front of me, but when I am working on a new piece or performing on stage, I suddenly realize that I have more time to enjoy myself, and I feel that maybe I am growing up. I feel that maybe I am growing.
As for my future goals, the first thing I want to do is to create more opportunities to meet as many of REBORN who love and support us as possible. Last year, many of them came to see us, so this year, I hope we can bring them to see us ourselves.
RINO: It has been a year that seems to have gone by both quickly and slowly.
I have experienced many things, and I have learned a lot and been stimulated, and I think I have grown in many ways, both as a team member and as a person.
Personally, I have grown in many ways. I still get nervous before a show, but the nervousness I used to feel would have been negative and I would not have been able to enjoy the performance. I think I have grown and become more relaxed on stage.
As a team, our goal for the future is to visit more REBORNs than last year.
And we would like to tour in Japan!
4. Apart from your own events, you have had the opportunity to perform at very big events. This must be a great experience for a new group. But we would like to learn about these experiences from you. Also, which song is your favorite song to perform on stage, we are also very curious about that.
NANO: All of the events remain in my memory, but personally, I was very impressed with “COUNTDOWN JAPAN 24/25” which I performed at the end of the year 2024. I was very happy to be chosen to perform at a festival that I had wanted to attend for a long time, and the atmosphere that I could only experience there was very fresh and fun.
I also like “Breaking Thru the Line” the best as a song to be performed on stage.
It is a song that I can sing with REBORN and get excited about, so it is fun no matter how many times we perform it.
YUUKI: Festivals and TV show appearances are precious opportunities for us to bring our music to people who are seeing us for the first time, so I think we always put a lot of energy into them.
Of course we get nervous, but the vibes and excitement of the audience at each event are completely different depending on the color of the performers, so we are influenced by that atmosphere and have a different time each time, which is a lot of fun.
It is difficult to decide the number one song, but I think “THE FLASH GIRL” has many points that make REBORN happy, such as the stirring and the dance break. I always enjoy performing this song.
RINO: All the events and stages have left a deep impression on me, but the one that I felt was a new world was “COUNTDOWN JAPAN 24/25” that I performed at the end of last year.
I had been saying since my debut that I wanted to perform at festivals as IS:SUE, and I was very happy to have my dream come true at the end of the year. I was a little apprehensive at first because I didn’t know what kind of atmosphere the festival itself would have or what kind of people would come to see the festival.
I will do my best to perform again!
The song I enjoyed performing on stage was “Breaking Thru the Line!
The “You are you! No one but you! I’m not afraid of anything, I’m Breaking Thru the Line!” I really enjoy singing along with REBORN on stage!
5. You have a new single coming out called EXTREME DIAMOND. And you will release 3 new songs with this single. Can you tell us a little bit about these songs and the concept you prepared for the single?
NANO: This time, the message is stronger than ever throughout.
No matter what anyone says, I am who I am and I will stick to it. Live the way you want and shine the way you want. I hope that the songs in this 3rd single with such a message will resonate with many people and reach them.
YUUKI: Based on the concept of a diamond that can only be perfected when subjected to a high degree of heat and pressure under special conditions, this single expresses how a person continually refines themselves without fear of failure, and the more they are stimulated, the brighter they become.
RINO: This time, diamonds are the main concept.
Diamonds are gems that shine only when they are subjected to various stimuli and pressures.
I think the songs in this album are songs that we are able to perform because of the many experiences we have had.
The songs are feminine and strong, so please pay attention to the songs that express “EXTREME DIAMOND” from various angles and listen to them.
6. This is one of the questions our team always asks and wonders the answer to. You are only about a year old group. Despite this, you have many songs, music videos and live performance videos. Which song, music video or video would you recommend for people who are just getting to know IS:SUE?
NANO: We hope that you will first see and hear our debut song “CONNECT”.
This song, which is our starting point, is an irreplaceable song for us, and it is also a song that contains our desire to connect us with the world.

YUUKI: First of all, I would like you to watch the music video of our debut song “CONNECT” because it is a very emotional piece! As for the live video, the cover stage of m-flo’s “come again” that we performed at “COUNTDOWN JAPAN 24/25” at the end of last year was seen by many people, and many fans imitated our dance to the chorus and enjoyed our live singing performance. RINO: The music video for “CONNECT” is also a must-see.
